Serene is an AI writing assistant for Chrome. It helps users analyze and rewrite text inside supported web text fields. Serene’s single purpose is to provide writing analysis and rewrite suggestions when the user chooses to use those features.

6. Local Storage
Serene stores certain information locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage, including:

This local data generally remains on your device unless you remove it, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension.

9. Third-Party Services
Serene relies on third-party services to operate. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms. These may include: OpenAI, Gumroad, Vercel or related hosting providers
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those providers
before using Serene.
10. Your Choices
You may choose not to use Serene or not to provide required information such as an API key or license key, but some or all functionality may not work without it.
You may also remove locally stored extension data by clearing the extension’s storage or uninstalling the extension.

Serene is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the Effective Date above. Continued use of Serene after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
